RPD Request Assistance in Locating Missing 16-Year-Old

Doeffinger
The Raleigh Police Department is requesting public assistance as it works to locate James Doeffinger Jr., 16, who is seen in the attached photo. Doeffinger was last seen this morning when he left his residence in the 3300 block of Marshlane Way to take a walk.

Doeffinger is a white male who stands about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 250-300 pounds. When last seen, he was wearing a light-colored sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black hat.

Anyone who knows Doeffinger’s current whereabouts or believes they have seen him since approximately 9:30 a.m. today is asked to call 911.

    We know this family. Our sons played football together. There is no reason to believe he ran away. He went out for a run (not a walk) as his normal routine. He never leaves his neighborhood to run. His cell phone was found miles from his home near a Wal-Mart parking lot. Please notify anyone if you see anything!
