Detectives Arrest Two Suspects in 2008 Homicide Case

Raleigh Police Department homicide detectives have continually and tenaciously investigated the murder of Jesse George Brunner since it was reported on July 12, 2008.  On Tuesday, March 22, valuable information was developed that significantly assisted the detectives conducting the investigation and allowed them to take important steps toward closing the case.

As a result, arrest warrants were obtained charging Norman Trevor Williams, 24, and Jennifer Tu Taing, 24, with first degree murder in connection with Brunner's death.  Williams was arrested without incident by Raleigh Police Department officers at his residence at 3807 Wester Road shortly after midnight this morning, and Taing was arrested without incident during a traffic stop conducted for that purpose on Capital Boulevard by RPD officers just after 1:00 a.m. Williams and Taing have been transported to the Wake County Jail.

Detectives have determined that Brunner and Williams knew one another and that the murder was not a random act.

The follow-up investigation of the case is continuing, and anyone with information that might be of assistance to detectives is asked to call Raleigh CrimeStoppers at (919) 834-4357. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that contribute to solving cases.

  1. the fact that white bread was known to sell crack heavily and that he was known to stick people up in their homes is a known fact in the streets. the fact that norman knew him and they hung out was also know. norman had been looking for something to make his name known since his driveby. jenn is norman's baby mama and she is his bonnie. now jenn is on the same level as devon carter who murdered her brother. at least jenn and norman's child may get a real upbringing now.
