Request for Assistance - Robbery Suspect

Raleigh Police Department detectives are working to identify and arrest the suspect seen in the attached surveillance photo. The suspect is believed to be responsible for two recent robberies.

Shortly before 9 p.m. on March 29, the suspect entered the Marathon Star Mart at 1641 Glenwood Ave. and robbed the clerk at gunpoint. After committing the crime, he was last seen fleeing south on foot.

At about 10:30 p.m. on April 1, the suspect entered the Pantry at 3721 Tryon Rd, produced a handgun, and robbed the clerk. Again, he was last seen fleeing on foot.

The suspect is a black male in his twenties to thirties with medium to dark complexion. He has a slender to medium build, stands between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall, and had a narrow moustache and beard. In both robberies, he wore dark clothing, including a hooded jacket or hat.
