RPD Detectives Looking for Information in Early Morning Homicide

Shortly before 6 a.m. today, Raleigh Police Department officers responded to a shooting call at 1507 Cross St. Upon arrival, they located the victim, Darrice Jamar Covington, 24, who was transported to WakeMed where he later died.

As various aspects of the investigation progress, members of the RPD Homicide Unit are also working to locate individuals who are known to have been present in the area at the time the shooting occurred.
