RPD Searches for Bank Robbery Suspect

The Raleigh Police Department is seeking assistance from the public as it works to identify and arrest the suspect seen in the attached surveillance photos.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. Monday, the suspect entered the Bank of America at 5005 Capital Boulevard, passed a note to a teller and implied he had a weapon.

After the teller complied with the note’s demands, the suspect fled the bank on foot and was last seen running eastbound across Capital Boulevard in the Mini City area.

The suspect is described as an older black male who stands about 5 feet 10 inches tall. He had salt and pepper hair and, in addition to the shirt seen in the photos, was wearing dark colored pants.

Anyone who might be able to identify the suspect or who believes they may have seen him is asked to call Raleigh CrimeStoppers at (919) 834-HELP. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that help solve cases.
