Shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday, Raleigh Police Department officers responded to a shooting call at 3314 Capital Blvd. Upon arrival, the officers located a victim, Tu Hoang Nguyen, 35, outside that address. The victim, who had a gunshot wound to the neck, was transported to WakeMed with injuries that were determined to be life-threatening.
A suspect who fled the scene after the shooting was located at an apartment at 1537 Sunbow Falls Ln. That suspect, Nhan Thuong Le (DOB 8/2/73), has been transported to the Wake County Jail and has been charged with attempted murder.
The on-going investigation of the shooting, which followed a dispute, is being led by members of the RPD’s Homicide Unit.
