Request for Assistance-Assault on Law Enforcement Officer

Vick
The Raleigh Police Department is seeking assistance from the public as it continues follow-up investigative work to locate and arrest Oscar Lamont Vick (DOB 8/13/85).

During the early morning hours of May 7, three RPD officers were approaching a sedan parked in the 400 block of North West Street, because a wanted suspect had been seen in the front passenger’s seat of the vehicle. As the officers neared the sedan, it’s driver – who was later determined to be Vick – ignored the officers’ commands to stop and proceeded to flee the scene, striking one of the officers with the vehicle’s driver’s-side mirror and roof pillar. The officer was not seriously injured.

The vehicle driven by Vick then struck and taxicab in a parking area in the 500 block of North West Street and continued to flee in a northerly direction. The vehicle was located a short time later at the intersection of North West Street and Wade Avenue, where it had been wrecked and abandoned.

The passenger in the vehicle, Antonio Jermaine Clark (DOB 12/29/85) was located and arrested later the same day.

Vick remains at large. He stands about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. His photo is attached.

Anyone who knows the current whereabouts of Oscar Lamont Vick or who has other information that might assist detectives working the case is asked to call Raleigh CrimeStoppers at (919) 834-HELP. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that help solve cases.
