Request for Assistance-Vandalism Suspect

During the predawn hours of Wednesday, Sept. 28, an unidentified suspect caused an estimated $50,000 in damage to 10 large, irrigated planters in the 200, 300 and 400 blocks of Fayetteville Street. The suspect broke the planters by tipping them off the stands on which they were mounted. The male suspect is seen wearing a green T-shirt with a light horizontal stripe across its front, light colored shorts with dark stripes running down the legs, black sneakers with white trim, and a head covering that appears to be a do-rag or a hat turned backwards. The suspect has a light colored book bag or backpack. The suspect can be seen in a video which is available at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpp0fJok5Kc. Anyone who thinks they may know the suspect’s identity is asked to call Raleigh CrimeStoppers at (919) 834-HELP. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for tips that help solve cases.
