Request for Assistance - Glenwood Avenue Robbery Suspects

The Raleigh Police Department is seeking public assistance as it works to identify and arrest two suspects.

Suspect 1
At approximately 3:15 p.m. on October 15, the two suspects attempted to rob a convenience store at 6801 Glenwood Ave at gunpoint. The robbery was thwarted when the store clerk resisted and the suspects fled on foot. A second crime (assault by pointing) was committed outside the store when one of the suspects pointed a handgun at a store customer and forced the customer to step back.

Suspect 2
The armed suspect in the foreground of both photos is described as a black male with a slim build who stands about 6 feet 1 inch tall. He was said to be in his 20s and had facial hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt with writing or a design on its front and blue jeans.

Witnesses were not able to provide descriptive information concerning the second suspect who is seen in the background of the two surveillance photos.

Anyone who believes they might know the identity of either suspect is asked to call Raleigh CrimeStopper at (919) 834-HELP. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that help clear cases.
