Same Suspect Believed to Have Robbed Raleigh and Cary Banks

RPD detectives believe that a suspect who robbed a SunTrust bank on Creedmoor Road in September may also responsible for a bank robbery last week in Cary.

Surveillance images from the robberies show a tall, white man with a slender build and a gray beard or stubble approaching the teller and demanding money. He was wearing a baseball cap and dark sunglasses on both occasions.

The suspect robbed a SunTrust Bank branch inside a Kroger grocery store at 1273 NW Maynard Road in Cary on Nov. 25 and at 6300 Creedmoor Road in Raleigh on Sept. 23.
