Shortly after 1 a.m. Nov. 11, two victims were robbed at gunpoint near the intersection of Logan Court and Hope Street. The suspects took a backpack and other personal items from one of the victims. Four suspects participated in the crime.
The victims were N.C. State students and initially reported the crime to campus police. The N.C. State Police Department contacted the Raleigh Police Department when it was determined that the incident had occurred off campus.
RPD detectives conducted the follow-up investigation of the case and arrested two suspects. One suspect is a 15-year-old male juvenile; the other is Travieon Lamarcus Colbreth, 17. Colbreth was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon, and one count of attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon. Juvenile petitions and a secure custody order were obtained concerning the juvenile in connection with the same offenses.
